In the world of access control, Ethernet or TCP/IP network-based systems are becoming the solution of choice for customers and installers alike. Keri's NXT hardware platform is one of the first to be directly network compatible - it hangs on a network with no LAN adapters required. But, some installers are not yet versed in Ethernet technology, and some customers have IT Departments who prefer that the access control system not be deployed on the corporate network. Keri has a solution that overcomes over both of these obstacles. AutoUSB, as provided for in our Doors.NET software, allows integrators to easily connect and configure NXT hardware-based systems for up to 256 readers by using the PC’s USB Port. If the system is more than 4 readers, using off-the-shelf Ethernet switches allows system expansion, but still no network knowledge is required. After making the simple plug-in connections, controller addressing is done automatically via the click of a button in the Doors.NET software. Once addresses are assigned, the installer can immediately begin programming the system according to the customer’s requirements. Features:
